The data that we collect from you may be transferred to, and stored at, a destination outside the European Economic Area (“EEA”) where our hosting provider may have a data centre. The transmission of information through the internet is not completely secure. We will do our best to protect your personal data, but we cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted to the Website through the internet; any such transmission is at your own risk. Once we receive your personal data, we will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this privacy policy.

Please remain guarded against phishing emails. Phishing is a method used by fraudsters to deceive someone into giving sensitive information, such as bank account details, credit card numbers or username and passwords. Most of the time phishing will take the form of emails, which purport to be from well-known companies and ask recipients to send their private information. This information is then used for identity theft and fraud. We will hardly ever ask you to send sensitive details by email. Normally, this would only be if we are responding to a query you have sent to us or you have contact us first. We will never ask you for your account password. If you have any suspicions or doubts whether any email or communication that purports to come from us is genuine or not, please check with us first before responding.

Your Rights

You have a right to ask us to provide you with details of the personal data we hold about you, subject to paying a fee specified by law (currently €10.00). You also have the right to update and correct any personal data that we hold about you. If you would like to exercise any of these rights, or if you have any other queries about this policy, please contact us by writing to SecNews24 by sending an email to office(at)secnews24(dot)com.

You have the right to ask us at any time not to use your personal data for marketing purposes. We will usually inform you if we intend to use your data for such purposes or if we intend to disclose your information to any third party for such purposes and you will normally be given the option to object to use if you are not happy with this. You can also exercise the right at any time by contacting us using the contact details above.
