UK Supreme Court considers whether spy court should be immune to legal probes

The UK’s highest court has this week heard arguments in Privacy International’s long-running attempt to challenge decisions made by Britain’s shadowy spying oversight court, the Investigatory Powers Tribunal (IPT). The campaign group wants to launch a judicial review at the Investigatory Powers Tribunal (IPT) over a 2016 decision in a case probing the legalities of the UK spy agencies’ computer hacking.
